Perez Law Group Featured on 12 News: Safety Concerns Over Phoenix Reverse Lanes
We’re honored that Attorney Cristina Perez Hesano of Perez Law Group was featured on 12 News to share her perspective on the controversial reverse lanes in Phoenix.
These lanes, which run on 7th Avenue and 7th Street between McDowell and Dunlap, have long caused confusion for drivers and concern for local businesses. With accidents reported and more than 5,000 residents signing a petition calling for change, the Phoenix City Council has now approved a comprehensive traffic study to determine their impact.
Cristina Perez Hesano weighed in, supporting the city’s decision to conduct a full review. “If the city’s study reveals otherwise, then signage needs to be more visible,” she said, stressing that preventative measures must be put in place so drivers clearly understand when lanes are southbound or northbound.
The City of Phoenix expects to present its findings by December of next year. In the meantime, Cristina reminds drivers to stay alert, avoid distractions, and familiarize themselves with the rules of the road when traveling through these areas.
